Under this partnership, Avici is Nortel's preferred supplier of IP core routers, which will be a key component of integrated solutions tailored for voice over IP, wireless/wireline convergence, and carrier data applications. Avici and Nortel are also engaged in a range of joint development initiatives to deliver seamless convergence of multiservice networks over an IP/MPLS core.
